5 things to start with

I don't feel any thinner which is a little frustrating. I jumped on the scales this morning and the dial is heading in the right direction, but I just don't feel any different. My coat looks huge on me but maybe that is just wishful thinking.

So, to keep myself motivated, I started to think about all the things that I can look forward to doing when I have lost weight. OK, some of them are possibly a little ambitious, but I'm not expecting to be able to do them all by Easter.

1. NOT HAVE TO SHOP AT EVANS
For as long as I can remember, I have bought all my clothes at Evans, because it is the only place that does clothes in my size. Shopping there can be a lonely business when most of your friends are a size 12, or less. There is nothing more embarrassing than having to leave a lingerie department because your shopping companion is pointing and laughing at the size H cup bras.

2. RIDE A HORSE
I haven't ridden a horse in years, 35 actually, and I quite fancy having a go again. And it's suppose to be really good exercise. Just think it's something that only average size woman can get away with. And you've got to have some consideration for the poor horse.

3. SALSA DANCING
I really don't think I need to explain!!

4. GO IN TO A RESTAURANT WITHOUT CHECKING OUT THE SEATING
I know it sounds strange, but I always check out the chairs in a resturant, hoping I can find one I won't get wedged in during the meal. It only happened once when I was pregnant; getting in the booth was difficult enough, after lunch I couldn't budge, and they had to slide me out sideways. Not something you forget in a hurry.

5. GO ON HOLIDAY SOMEWHERE HOT
OK, I'm not expecting to look like Kate Moss by August and be able to slip in to a designer bikini. But, maybe a thinner version of me wouldn't hate the heat quite so much and I could visit some of the places I have always wanted to go to; Greece, Rome and Egypt.

I think that's enough to be getting on with!

Hi
I agree with your list but have one thing to say. Do a salsa slims class. Great fun and it will give you a head start on proper salsa with a partner..

Thanks Orflaith - I didn't know there was such a thing as Salsa Slim Classes! I will have to see if there are classes locally and give them a go.....K
