50 Not Out........

So there I was minding my own business and suddenly I'm 50.  Okay, I knew it was going to happen and I had 50 years notice, but it seemed to come along so quickly.  Somebody asked me if I felt 50 and I really don't know because I have no idea what it is supposed to feel like; I must say I was quite relieved to find out that the first few days were actually a hangover and the thumping headache and slight nausea weren't the norm.

My birthday was quiet and rather good, I spent it with my parents and my two wonderful sons who are all grown up and make me very proud.  I must confess to getting a little emotional when I left the restaurant (Brasserie Blanc in Farnham) in the evening but on days like that you just don't want them to end.  And the food was amazing!

Covent Garden - One of my favourite places

On the Saturday I went in to London to spend the day with my best friends.....more drinking, more eating and a bit more drinking.  A chance meeting with my new business partner and his family just made the it all the more special.  I love Covent Garden and we had a wander before going to a bar for cocktails and more reminiscing.

London - I couldn't live here but I'm proud to say I'm a Londoner

Thank you for such a lovely time, here's to the next chapter of my life, I hope you will all be there to make it special.
